Hela is a recent graduate of UCLA, where she earned a B.A. in Political Science and minors in Environmental Systems & Society and History. She previously interned at Evergreen and for Congressman Ami Bera (CA-06) on Capitol Hill. She also worked as a research assistant for the UC Berkeley Department of Political Science and the UCLA REPS Lab. Hela is particularly interested in climate and sustainability and the intersections of litigation, political advocacy, and policy.

Hela is based in Los Angeles, CA and enjoys the great outdoors, running, learning card games, and podcasts.
