Thai is a recent graduate of Columbia University, where he earned a B.A. in Political Science. Before Evergreen, he interned at the Biden-Harris White House, the Office of the U.S. House Democratic Leader, and the Human Rights Campaign. At Columbia, he served as an editor for the Undergraduate Law Review and studied in Indonesia as a Critical Language Scholar.

A proud Minnesotan, Thai enjoys film photography and reading in cafés.
